BLISSFUL SPOON - HEAD BAKER
Do you love pastry, breads, baking, and a wonderful sense of community? We do too! Our lovely head baker will not be coming back from maternity leave, and so we find ourselves with an opening for a lead role in our small bakery team. The person in this position will work closely with the owner to lead the bakery team and ensure that items are up to the highest standards. This includes:
- maintaining the FOH gluten-free bakery case,
- prepping and baking GF pastries and breads for the summer Farmers' Market,
- spearheading the production/packing of our granola for our growing portfolio of wholesale accounts
- managing the creation of desserts for our downstairs evening venue at Cellar 65
Gluten free baking experience is a definite plus in this role, as is the ability to organize and coordinate the team and inventory stock. Strong communication skills are a must.
You will need at least two years of experience in a commercial or restaurant bakery to be considered for this role. This is a full-time role with some special evening events and/or weekends.
The pay for this position will also include participation in our tip share. This position will earn up to $24-30/hr with our pooled tip system (DOE, starting at base of $17.50 + tips which adds the remaining /hr).
