Seeking an exceptional General Manager for a new fine dining establishment in beautiful Bend, Oregon.
This position will be key in fostering the growth and expansion of the restaurant. We are looking for an individual who embodies our strategic vision and excellence as this will be critical to the success of this new venture.

A comprehensive understanding and appreciation of culinary concepts and techniques is a must.
As GM this role will be responsible for the overall operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences and drive the success of the establishment through:
Financial management at the direction of the Management Partner(s).
All FOH and BOH operations and training
Technology management and training
Excellent communication skills
Efficient and effective problem solving and conflict resolution

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
Culinary school or sommelier certification preferred - beneficial for understanding menu and wine pairings.
Experience:
5-10+ years of experience in restaurant management, with at least 2–3 years in a fine dining or upscale dining environment.
Proven progressive track record in a leadership role, such as Assistant General Manager, Floor Manager, or similar.
Experience with budget management, staff training, and inventory control.
Skills:
Leadership and Communication: Strong ability to lead, motivate, and communicate with a diverse team and high-end clientele.
Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and profit-and-loss analysis.
Customer Service: Exceptional interpersonal skills to handle discerning guests and resolve issues diplomatically.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, from staffing to event planning.
Knowledge of Food and Beverage: Deep understanding of fine dining cuisine, wine, and service standards (e.g., Michelin, AAA Five Diamond).
Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g., Toast, Aloha), reservation platforms (e.g., OpenTable, Resy), and inventory management software.
Certifications (preferred):
Food Safety Certification (e.g., ServSafe).

Roles and Responsibilities
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations, including front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) activities.
Ensure seamless service, maintaining the restaurant’s high standards for food quality, presentation, and guest experience.
Manage reservations, seating plans, and private dining events to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
Maintain a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment in line with fine dining standards.
Staff Leadership and Training:
Hire, train, and supervise staff, including servers, bartenders, hosts, sommeliers, and kitchen support.
Develop training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable about the menu, wine pairings, and fine dining etiquette.
Schedule staff to balance labor costs with service needs.
Foster a positive, professional workplace culture and address staff conflicts or performance issues.
Financial Oversight:
Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and maximize profitability.
Control food, beverage, and labor costs while maintaining quality standards.
Analyze sales reports and adjust strategies to meet revenue goals.
Negotiate with vendors for high-quality ingredients and supplies at cost-effective prices.
Guest Experience and Relationship Management:
Ensure exceptional guest experiences by engaging with patrons, addressing complaints, and personalizing service.
Build relationships with regular guests and VIPs to foster loyalty.
Monitor online reviews (e.g., Yelp, Google) and respond professionally to feedback.
Uphold the restaurant’s reputation for excellence and exclusivity.
Menu and Beverage Program Oversight:
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design and update menus that align with the restaurant’s vision and guest expectations.
Work with sommeliers or beverage managers to curate a wine and beverage list that complements the cuisine.
Stay updated on food, wine, and dining trends to keep the restaurant competitive.
Marketing and Events:
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract high-end clientele, such as social media campaigns or partnerships with luxury brands.
Plan and execute special events, such as wine tastings, chef’s table dinners, or private functions.
Promote the restaurant’s brand through community engagement or media opportunities.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.
Maintain proper licensing and certifications for food and alcohol service.
Conduct regular inspections to meet sanitation and safety standards.
Strategic Planning:
Set short and long-term goals for the restaurant’s growth and reputation.
Analyze market trends and competitor performance to stay ahead in the fine dining industry.
Work with ownership or corporate teams to align operations with broader business objectives.
In addition to the above:
Work Environment: The GM must be highly visible during service hours, often working evenings and weekends. The role demands flexibility and the ability to handle high-pressure situations gracefully.
Cultural Fit: The GM should embody the restaurant’s brand.
This position offers excellent compensation and a benefit package ranging from $100,000 annually, as well as bonuses tied to performance metrics such as revenue and/or guest satisfaction.
