Aerotek is seeking a Chemical Technician for a company in Central Oregon. This position is a rotating schedule working 3 days on / 4 off - 4 days on 3 days off every other week. The shift would be Day Shift to start for training purposes and rotate from Day to Graveyard on a quarterly basis. This position requires high-attention to detail, ability to overcome challenges, work through processes in a proactive approach, and communicate effectively with team members. Those who have military backgrounds or any experience in firefighting may be well suited for the role. The minimum pay rate is 25$HR and provides your schedule 1-year in advance with pay growth opportunities outlined. Those interested will need to go through a multi-step interview process and be comfortable about chemicals, wearing PPE, and understand basic volumes/metrics/measurements.Description: Safely operate process equipment using computerized control systems Follow standard operating procedures to comply with high standards for safety and accuracy Monitor and analyze equipment and process activity to accurately document process conditions Physically maneuver production equipment manually and using powered equipment Apply Quality Assurance techniques to assess intermediate and finished material Work as a part of a responsible, self-directed team with minimal supervisory presence Read and interpret diagrams and drawings of process components and instrumentationAdditional Skills & Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education is preferred Related industrial/,manufacturing or similar experience (such as military experience, farm work, breweries, etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Understanding of mathematical principles to accurately measure and handle bulk chemicals Ability to pay attention to detail Ability to be productive and safe in a 24/7 work environment on any shiftExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
