Central Oregon School of Modern Music is seeking skilled teachers and musicians!
COSMM is a new music school in Redmond, Oregon. The focus of this school is to help students learn their instrument through private lessons, and apply those things learned in to groups. Playing music with others is often a step that many musicians don't take, or don't have an avenue to make happen. We want to help!
Currently, COSMM wants to add classes for younger kids in the morning, and we need a teacher to help facilitate this.
As a teacher at COSMM, you would be an independent contractor. This means that you would be mostly in control of your schedule, working with the school to understand what recurring days/times work best for these classes, and preparing fun course material. We only want happy students and know that every teacher has different methods to make that end goal happen.
Types of courses that COSMM wants to add immediately are "meet the instruments" or "kindermusic." These courses would focus on introducing younger students to many different instruments such as drums and percussion, keyboards, ukulele, etc. COSMM and the Teacher would work together to understand the materials and instruments needed for these new classes and purchase them for continued use at the school.
The rate of pay for these classes would be determined by the length of the class and the schools expectations of enrollment. As a contractor, you would receive a 1099 and the full pay, without taxes taken out. You would be responsible for paying your taxes at the end of the year.
