Trust Accountant
We’re seeking a highly experienced Trust Accountant to take ownership of our complete accounting operations and drive financial excellence. As a key member of our finance team, you’ll have significant autonomy and a direct impact on our organization’s financial health and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end accounting operations including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), general ledger maintenance, and multi-account bank reconciliations.
Lead the monthly and annual close processes with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Oversee financial reporting, account analysis, and reconciliations.
Continuously optimize and document accounting processes to improve efficiency and internal controls.
Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and reporting requirements.
Collaborate cross-functionally to provide financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
5+ years of proven experience as a Trust Accountant or similar role, managing complete accounting functions.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas).
Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes and implement internal controls.
Strong analytical mindset with impeccable attention to detail.
High business acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
Experience with accounting software (please specify any systems used in your resume or cover letter).
