MKS Photonics Solutions enhance our customers’ capabilities and productivity in the semiconductor, advanced electronics and specialty industrial markets.A Day in Your Life at MKS:As a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with New Product Introduction cross-functional teams to establish product and production readiness for high precision, laser-based systems and to transfer knowledge from development engineering to the global manufacturing plants. Key activities include early engagement with design engineering, definition and implementation of production requirements, verification and improvement of beta products, and training and support of production personnel.You Will Make an Impact By:

Influence and improve design through DFx and PFMEA

Create Beta and Pilot Manufacturing Plans

Create BOM structures aligned to sourcing and production plans and electronic work instructions

Work with design engineers to define laser and system manufacturing and test equipment and fixtures to ensure CtQ parameters are met

Perform build reviews and resolve issues regarding sourcing, specifications, and quality during development

Train global personnel and Contract Manufacturers for new products

Prepare and support receiving facility and personnel for pilot and volume production

Skills You Bring:

B.S. in Manufacturing or other Engineering and 5+ years of experience in a capital equipment manufacturing environment, preferably including lasers

Strong interpersonal communication skills and a constructive, professional demeanor

Ability to work in and lead cross-functional teams. Basic project management skills

Demonstrated ability to effectively lead multiple manufacturing projects and activities

DFM/A, BOM structuring, Lean Manufacturing knowledge

New Product Introduction experience

Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control and Manufacturing Capability

Structured Problem Solving, CAPA, Continuous Improvement. Six Sigma experience beneficial

Experience with industrial lasers, optics, and their test equipment is beneficial

Able to travel internationally in support of ESI system installations and applications. Travel may be expected up to 10%
