Cook Shuttle Driver

This is a part-time position working up to 35hrs per week.Job Purpose or Objective(s): As the Cook and Shuttle Driver for Health Services, you are responsible for transporting clients to non-emergency medical care and providing other needed transportation services. You will also support the nutrition program by acting as an entry level cook. You will report to the Tribal Transit Supervisor.Primary Tasks:

Transport clients to appropriate location (may cover distances exceeding 100 miles)

Coordinate with Dispatcher to assure clients are transported to the appropriate location at the appropriate time.

Schedule cleaning and servicing of vehicle and take to local service station.

Maintain log of destinations and/or behavior of passengers

Enforce passenger safety and security by following CN transit safety standards.

Secure wheelchairs and/or mobility devices by attaching to stabilization devices.

Physically assist disabled passengers into and out of vehicle

Perform duties of a cook such as cooking, prepare food, store and label food, maintain a sanitary work environment to provide the highest level of service for the nutrition program.

Maintain all permits and standards set forth by CNO for both cook and shuttle driver.

Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education and Experience :

Valid Driver’s License

Clear driving record required (no serious traffic violations)

Obey traffic laws; follow established traffic or transportation procedures

Experience in driving both automatic and standard type transmission vehicles

Food handlers permit
