AEROSPACE FACILITY: CLIMATE CONROLLED

CNC MACHINIST 2ND, 4TH AND 5TH SHIFTS

Level one responsibilities apply to level two, with the following additional duties:

Perform basic setup operations which includes setting up fixtures, cutting tools and CNC programs.

Maintain product quality through monitoring and adjusting CNC offsets as needed.

Perform inspection tasks of intermediate complexity interacting with drawings and more advanced inspection tools.

Required Skills:

The ability to identify and correctly load and secure fixtures with minimal assistance.

A working knowledge of G and M codes applied in setting and adjusting offsets and interacting with CNC programs.

A working knowledge of shop math including tool geometry, positive and negative numbers, as well as basic geometry.

The ability to read basic prints and apply basic dimensional specifications to inspection processes.

Required Experience:

Typically this position requires evidence of success in level one machining duties for at least one year prior to promotion or hire.

2-4 years of experience

Level of Education:

GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR Level Two – Building upon level one, while working under the supervision of a higher level employee, level two inspectors work from blueprints, digital models and customer specifications to identify and segregate non-conforming product using proficient knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing methods per ASME 14.5, and common inspection measuring equipment. They may also demonstrate basic competency in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines/Scanners as necessary to complete assignments, and will also receive an introduction to AS9102 processes to an awareness level. Level two quality inspectors may also be expected to demonstrate proficiency in manipulating digital models in CATIA. Level two inspectors typically work as receiving inspectors, final inspectors or entry-level CMM inspectors. Typically 2-3 years of experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

With assistance, perform in process and completed inspections for machined, purchased or assembled product.

Required Skills:

Intermediate proficiency in shop math and GD&T comprehension and application.

Intermediate print reading and application.

Basic knowledge of ASME 14.5

Basic knowledge of AS9102

BENCH GRINDER/DEBURR

Level two bench grinders/deburr operators work with minimal assistance to perform all levels of hand finishing tasks. Examples of tasks level two deburr operators are responsible for include edge breaking and using a variety of deburr tools and media to achieve specified surface finishes on a number of different materials. This position requires the ability to read basic print and having an understanding of different deburr media uses and applications. These individuals must be able to hold dimensions when deburring. Level two bench grinders will also gain an intermediate understanding of and familiarity with customer specifications. These individuals will demonstrate the ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers and profilometers, etc. This position typically requires 1-5 years of experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Work with little assistance to conduct bench/deburring operations frequently to or on products containing critical features and close tolerances on machined aerospace parts

Interpret plans, work orders, blueprints and drawings to determine how to conduct necessary bench (deburr, etc.) operations.

Use various measuring instruments in order to accurately accomplish bench/deburring tasks.

Required Skills:

Position requires the ability to lift 35 lbs.

Basic print reading

Ability to use inspection tools including micrometers, calipers and profilometers

High level attention to detail

Required Experience:

Experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment preferred but not required

1-5 years of experience

Level of Education:

GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

Machinist – (All Levels) (2nd, 4th and 5th Shifts):

Machinist – Level 1 (Entry level and up to 1 year experience) starting pay is $19.50

Machinist – Level 2 (1+ years and based on machining knowledge) starting pay is $21.25

Machinist – Level 3 (5+ years and based on machining knowledge) starting pay is $25.75

Quality Inspector – (All Levels) (1st and 2nd Shift):

Quality Inspector – Level 1 (Entry level and up to 1 year experience) starting pay is $16.00

Quality Inspector – Level 2 (1+ years and based on QI knowledge) starting pay is $17.75

Quality Inspector – Level 3 (5+ years and based on QI knowledge) starting pay is $21.25

Deburr – (All Levels) (1st Shift):

Deburr – Level 1 (Entry level and up to 1 year experience) starting pay is $14.75

Deburr – Level 2 (1+ years and based on QI knowledge) starting pay is $17.75

Deburr – Level 3 (5+ years and based on QI knowledge) starting pay is $19.50

Shifts:

1st shift Monday through Thursday staring any where from 5:30 am to 7:30 am and Friday a ½ day

2nd shift Monday through Thursday 5:30 pm to 5:30 am shift differential is $1.00

4th shift Friday through Sunday 5:30 am to 5:30 pm (work 36 get paid for 40) shift differential is $1.50

5th shift Friday through Sunday 5:30 pm to 5:30 am (work 36 get paid for 40) shift differential is $2.50
