We are looking for a caregiver for my mother, who is in the late stages of dementia and receiving hospice care at home. She is sensitive and vulnerable, and needs full support with daily living — meals, hygiene, mobility, transfers, incontinence care, and companionship. She is still talkative and social, and responds well to warm, steady presence.
We already have a full-time caregiver/ care manager, and are now looking for someone to provide respite 2-3 days a week 24/7, back to back. These shifts would require live-in from Saturday evening to Monday or Tuesday evenings.
We are in the process of downsizing into an apartment, and my goal is to keep my mom out of a nursing home. I’m building a small team of emotionally grounded caregivers who can help make that possible.
Musts:
Formal and verifiable experience with caregiving
Comfortable with full-assist care and end-of-life support
Reliable and emotionally steady
Open to non-medication-based approaches to anxiety (though hospice is involved)
Willing to undergo background check, reference check, credit check, and drug test
Location: Tulsa, OK
Schedule: Sat-Mon/Tues
Pay: $250.00 a day
Start Date: Flexible; in-person interviews the week of May 26
