This job is a member of the Records Team within the Integrated Operations Division.
Responsible for leading a team of employees in the set up and monitoring of aircraft maintenance records and configuration in source systems. In addition, leads, coaches, and develops all employees to excel in achieving key goals and encourage quality and productivity while insuring ensuring compliance with all Company rules and regulations. Also participates in leading a technical organization with tactical and strategic decision making to support the activities of the airline.

Participates in the administration and professional development of the team members, including contract employee administration
Manages the overall performance of the group
Supports the strategic direction for the organization and manages the methods to achieve it
Manages the budget established for the group
Acts as a culture leader who builds trust across the organization
Manages the accuracy and timeliness of the maintenance of records in the SCEPTRE system
Evaluates and forecasts financial/staffing needs to meet the infrastructure needs and objectives of aircraft maintenance records
Maintains internal department self-audit programs to ensure record-keeping practices continue to meet AA policies
Maintains a continuous improvement program for Aircraft Records Management and work cross departmentally to resolve process flow issues
Maintains KPIs (Key Process Indicators) to measure and improve performance
Working maintenance operations to provide access to accurate records for a range of operational and strategic purposes
All you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation related area or similar discipline and / or a total of 5 years aviation experience in the Aircraft Maintenance field as it relates to Quality Assurance, Maintenance, or Records
5 years supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
3 years experience in leadership role
Experience leading an organization in multiple locations
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles
Understanding of project management techniques
Strong planning, delegating and organizational skills as well as analytical and problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
Ability to multi-task while adjusting to rapidly changing priorities
Innovative and technical individual, with exceptional business judgment, as well as the initiative and competence to make a significant contribution to the AA organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
Excellent leadership skills and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs)
