This position will be responsible for safety loading parts onto a moving production line. This is a 1st shift position, Mon - Thurs, 5 am to 3:30 pm. What you will be doing:
Safety, quality, priorities above all
Focus on the keeping the mill operational
Maintain clean, safe ,organized work area, 5S
Assist in the change over processes of the mill.
TPM of process and equipment in the area
Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor
Perform visual quality checks for straightness, galv integrity, length to meet quality requirements
Able to work with maintenance hands on to get issues resolved in a timely manner
Focus on mill production efficiency, problem resolution, cost saving opportunities.
The skills and experience you need:
High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
Experience in using special measuring devices, calipers, tape measure.
Must be able to read part drawings to perform product inspections.
Roll Tooling experience with set ups and change over.
Demonstrated ability to meet negotiated time frames.
Ability to drive a Forklift is preferred.
Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill.
Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.
