Description Robert Half is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk for a well-known company in the Tulsa Area! The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process accurately and efficiently. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Processing invoices from vendors accurately and in a timely manner.
Verifying that invoices are properly coded and approved for payment.
Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies.
Processing employee expense reports and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Initiating and processing payments to vendors via check, ACH, or wire transfer.
Maintaining accurate records of accounts payable transactions and vendor information.
Assisting with month-end closing processes, including preparing accruals and reconciliations.
Responding to vendor inquiries and resolving payment-related issues.
Assisting in the maintenance of the vendor master file.
Supporting other members of the finance team as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Experience with purchase orders and three-way matching preferred.

Knowledge of sales and use tax regulations.
Previous experience in a similar industry or environment.
Additional certifications such as Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) or Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD).
