Description In this role, you will be responsible for handling various accounting tasks, such as preparing financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, and reconciling accounts. You will also be involved in auditing, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and assisting with annual audits. Responsibilities: Preparing monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements. Maintaining the general ledger and reconciling accounts receivable and accounts payable. Reconciling general and subsidiary bank accounts, cash disbursement accounts, payroll, and customer accounts. Auditing contracts, orders, and vouchers, and preparing reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement. Ensuring proper handling of financial transactions and approving transactions within designated limits. Reviewing, investigating, and correcting errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports. Making recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures to improve the accounting operation. Assisting outside auditors and gathering necessary account information and documents for annual audits. Preparing and filing tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies. Coordinating with software vendors to maintain and enhance accounting software systems.Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Property Accountant Proficiency in Account Coding Experience with Accounting Software Systems Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with AMSI Proficiency in using AppFolio Ability to perform various Accounting Functions Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) Understanding of Accrual Accounting Auditing skills Ability to manage Profit and Loss accounts Experience with Yardi Voyager Familiarity with Yardi Property Management Proficiency in using Yardi Software and Yardi Knowledge of General Ledger and General Ledger System Experience in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation Familiarity with Balance Sheet Reconciliation Experience in Bank Account Reconciliation Understanding of Profit Loss, Profit Growth, and Profit Margin management Experience with Accounts Receivables Systems Audit skills, including Financial Auditing Ability to prepare and analyze Income Statements Knowledge of Salt system Understanding of GAAP - STAT and GAAP Accounting Familiarity with US GAAP regulations Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
