JOB SPECIFICSThis position will serve as a senior lead in planning and project management to support the Children's Social Services division in Community Services. Program areas included in the Children’s Division are child protection, child welfare, children’s mental health, child foster care, adoption, child- care licensing, truancy diversion and parent support outreach. A primary focus of this position will be to support efforts related to the development of prevention services related to the implementation of the Family First Prevention Services Act. This position will also include data collection, service contracts, performance measures, quality assurance and work on specific projects as needed. This person should have a strong ability to lead projects while making decisions independently using an equity lens.This person may specialize in leading and making decisions around the following areas:

Conducting policy and process analysis for an area within the division

Assist with divisional yearly budget planning

Develops, implements and monitors quality improvement and assurance activities and evaluations.

Participates and leads divisional strategic planning to meet department strategic goals

Grant writing and monitoring of grants in the division

Provides outreach and builds connections with county staff and external partners in areas of focus

Reviews and monitors legislative actions; while evaluating impact, implementing program/policy changes and prepare data based on changes.

Perform other related leading duties as required and directed by the Children’s Division Manager

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge of planning and project management principles and processes.

Previous experience managing projects to completion

Prior supervisory leadership experience or leading and managing projects independently

Prior work experience in a County or Government setting analyzing business needs and service systems using a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens

Paid work experience in the child welfare system

Experience using SSIS

HOURS / DAYS: Position is based at the Government Center in Stillwater, with potential Telework options available. Work hours are Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Work location and hours are subject to change based on business need. Lifting requirement of 15-20 pounds on an occasional basis. Frequent wrist and finger manipulation due to high concentration of filing, compiling, calculating, or computer work. Equipment used may include, but is not limited to, computer, calculator, telephone, copy and fax machine. Individuals operating a motor vehicle for County business must possess a valid driver's license.Work interruptions are frequent.
