Actalent Engineering is looking for an Research and Development Engineer to join our engineering team in the Pryor, OK area Description:Lead or participate in cross functional teams of engineering, manufacturing, and scientific staff to achieve high level product development project goals through planning, budgeting, and execution in addition to participating in or leading in the implementation of new product, software, and processes, including creation of an overall implementation plan.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Be responsible for product design, engineering, and research projects Coordinate product launch and lifecycle activities Design and execute internal testing plans for new product development Travel for external product development field testing and service calls on unusual field problems as needed Perform in‐house product analysis Develop thermal systems models Change/modify assembly drawings, bills of material, and costs estimates Coordinate change orders and distribute as required Establish specifications and tolerances for parts and materials Communicate with customers and Service Departments to resolve problems with equipment Perform failure analysis of returned components and make recommendations/modifications to remedy problem Provide technical direction to Project Managers, QA, QC, Sales, and Service Technicians Develop and provide engineering support for in house softwareSkills:mechanical, r&d, hvac, heat transfer, Research & development, refrigeration, New product development, Mechanical engineering, thermodynamicsAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited university or equivalent. 3-5 years related experience. Knowledge of manufacturing methods used in HVAC&R.Skills: Ability to use Microsoft product software. Talented, highly motivated individual with good engineering judgment. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to guide and influence others. Intermediate computer skills.
