We offer a wide range of job opportunities, competitive compensation, benefits, and more… This Opportunity: The Project Safety Manager is responsible for the daily management, execution and oversight of project safety, including the organization and planning of safety tasks and activities. This position will report to the Environmental Health and Safety Program Manager and may be assigned Safety Coordinator(s) to Lead and manage, as required. The Project Safety Manager must be a reliable agent of implementing, timely delivering and leading Health and Safety accountability and objectives; managing interdepartmental relations between Corporate Health and Safety, project Teams, Field Installation Teams, Subcontractors, Customers. What You Will Do:

Works daily with Site Leadership to strategize efforts to meet/ exceed compliance with internal and external requirements; centralizing EHS reporting and participation structure.

Manages the EHS Specialist/s; including delegations, assignments, mentorship, and scheduling; where applicable.

Maintains an active on-site presence; managing daily safety inspections, site walks and documentation audits, toolbox talks, and overall site safety.

Provides guidance, training (incl. onboarding orientations) and coaching to field staff, project teams, contractors, and visitors to ensure execution of safety program with applicable regulations and to be in accordance with company and customer needs.

Leads incident investigation panels, root cause analysis, emergency response, and implementation of corrective actions.

Reviews any changes or deviations to EHS processes, tasks, or forms revisions and reviews with EHS Program Manager and site leadership for approval.

Bridges communication between senior management, site level workforce, EHS teams and project teams.

Maintains regular scheduled communication and reporting to the EHS program manager, maintaining active cadence on all EHS matters pertaining to the project; Receives instruction, workflows, or initiatives that align corporate interests and project needs.

Manages safety documentation and forms, SDS, records and metrics.

Solid knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations and Safety standards.

Thorough knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to Low Voltage and Structured Cabling Systems installation and construction.

Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of personnel including upper management, clients, other craft partners and vendors.

Education, Experience and Certifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Safety Preferred.

8+ years of verifiable and progressive experience in Health Safety Leadership and management experience in the Construction Industry.

Must possess OSHA 30.

OSHA 500 / 510 certification highly preferred.

CSP, ASP, STS-C, IOSH and/or CHST certification equivalent required.

8+ years Occupational Health and/or Safety experience in a construction environment.

Working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations.

Extensive experience with inspections, incident investigations, process safety, contractor safety, safety training, hazard reviews and job safety analysis.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position may be assigned direct reports

Work Location and Travel:

This position is an on-site based role and is generally expected to require minimal overnight travel (5%-15%). The individual in this role should maintain an active presence on the project site and be able and willing to travel as required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The standard work environment for this position is a construction environment, data center environment, and an indoors business office. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. The employee may also be required to work in tight, confided spaces. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
