Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Parts Manager to oversee the inventory, procurement, and distribution of automotive parts for our repair shop. The ideal candidate will have experience in the automotive industry, excellent communication skills, and a knack for managing stock efficiently to support our technicians and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage parts inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing excess.
-Source and order parts from suppliers, negotiating pricing and ensuring timely delivery.
-Verify part compatibility and quality for customer vehicles and repair jobs.
-Coordinate with technicians to prioritize parts needs for scheduled repairs.
-Maintain accurate records of inventory, purchases, and returns using inventory management software.
-Build and maintain relationships with parts vendors and suppliers.
-Assist customers with parts inquiries, providing knowledgeable and friendly service.
-Monitor pricing trends and adjust inventory strategies to stay cost-effective.
-Keep the parts department organized, clean, and efficient.
Qualifications:
-1+ years of experience in automotive parts management or a related role.
-Strong knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and repair processes.
-Proficiency with inventory management systems.
-Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
-Ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and suppliers.
-Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, and industry-specific software).
-High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive training or certifications a plus.
-Valid driver’s license required. Clean driving record.
