We are looking for a structural steel shop foreman that can continue to take our company to the next level. We currently serve customers all over the Midwest and need an experienced structural steel shop foreman to manage the shop and ensure projects continue to be completed on time and to meet our quality expectations as soon as possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate fabrication with project managers and detailers.
Manage up to 30-40 projects from start to finish.
Review shop and erection drawings for accuracy prior to fabrication.
Assign shop employees tasks, projects, etc. on a daily basis.
Work closely with project managers, detailers, accounting, and owner to ensure projects are within/under budget and run smoothly.
Must have +3 years working/managing others in a structural steel shop environment.
Skills/Requirements
Knowledge of Tekla and other project management software.
Expert understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Expert knowledge of machining equipment – such as manual/CNC lathes, horizontal and vertical mills, drill presses.
The ability to work interactively across functional groups.
Knowledge of Tekla and other project management software is a plus.
Bi-lingual in Spanish is a huge plus.
Good attendance and punctuality is a must; reliable transportation.
