Bilingual General Manager
We're seeking a dynamic, results-oriented leader with a minimum of 3+ years of progressive management experience in distribution/transportation, fluent in two or more languages, to join our team. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of a full-service 3PL distribution warehouse and its staff.
As the Bilingual General Manager of Warehousing, you'll be responsible for directing warehousing and distribution operations, ensuring productivity targets are met and all warehouse processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically manage the warehouse in alignment with company policies and vision.
- Supervise receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Optimize layout to maximize space utilization.
- Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with warehousing, handling, and shipping regulations.
- Uphold health, safety, hygiene, and security standards
- Control stock and reconcile with data storage system.
- Prepare annual budgets.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.
- Plan work schedules, delegate tasks, and evaluate outcomes.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate employees.
- Generate regular reports and statistics on warehouse activities.
- Solicit feedback and monitor service quality.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a warehouse manager.
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Track record of implementing process improvements.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Familiarity with warehouse management software and databases.
- Leadership and staff management skills.
- Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages.
