Description A PC Technician with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues is wanted at Robert Half. For the short-term contract / contract PC Technician role, you will be positioned in the Norman, Oklahoma, area.Your responsibilities
Track equipment inventory and collaborate on potential purchases
Communicate with suitable vendors to coordinate needed repairs
Diagnose, restore, rebuild, and refurbish computer hardware, such as PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and additional IT equipment
Support functionality testing and end users
Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
Take down, box and ship out of date equipment
Complete transferal of data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix
Take down, box, move and set up/install on site
Install, troubleshoot and repair printers
Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
Handle all imaging and preparation tasks for new computers
Ensure the integrity of all electronic data records by following company quality standards
Take responsibility for technology implementation projects and carry them out Requirements - Less than one year of experience preferred
Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
CompTIA A+ certification obligatory
An understanding of networking such as switching and routing is desired
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Expertise in Computer Hardware
