The Assistant Quality Manager is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager in improving all internal and external plant assurance of quality systems.The Assistant Quality Manager will:Work directly with all departments on quality issues and preventive and corrective actionsFacilitate problem-solving activity through TQM, team building and quality systems tools and methodsWork with supervisors in identifying negative quality trends and repetitive defectsParticipate as a customer liaison, make customer visits as appropriate, and assist in implementing customer quality management systemsThe Assistant Quality Manager should have:The ability to investigate customer complaints, preparing customer complaint responses and maintaining a data base on all customer complaints.Experience working with a plant management team to develop standard operating procedures.Strong problem-solving skillsExperience working in a fast-paced environment and making decisions that protect quality
