About the Position: Serves as a Budget Analyst, GS-0560-12, located at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, McAlester, OK. Responsibilities Provides planning, evaluation, and financial management for assigned programs within the Army Working Capital Fund(AWCF) for a multi-mission installation. Manages actions required to formulate, develop, coordinate, and implement policies and guidelines governing the designated funding appropriation portion of major programs. Oversees funding, ensuring strategic allocation and effective utilization to drive project success and achieve objectives. Formulates annual and multi-year budget estimates. Compiles narrative and statistical material and prepares exhibits and related background information for program briefings. Performs analysis of budget requests, considers unforeseen factors in development and production, shifts in project direction, and explores alternative sources of funding. Analyzing historical data to identify trends and inform funding requirements; 2.) formulating annual program budget estimates; 3.) performing budget execution that encompasses monitoring program allocations, obligations, and/or expenditure of funds; 4.) investigates, diagnoses, and/or resolves issues by developing and implementing corrective actions to enhance efficiency. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget Administration Budget Execution Budget Formulation, Justification & Presentation Communications Computer Literacy Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
