Description We are offering an opportunity for a detailed-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The role involves managing accounting responsibilities related to gas and power derivative contracts, and you will be expected to interact regularly with commercial front office and external counterparties. This role requires the ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet the deadlines of the monthly closing schedule.Responsibilities: Manage accounting of unrealized derivatives contracts Handle settlement of realized Gas and Power financial derivative contracts Oversee settlement of realized Gas and Power physical contracts Conduct account reconciliations for various GL account balances in accordance with company reconciliation guidelines Provide technical accounting support Maintain SOX documentation Use skills such as Documentation, Reporting, Contracts, Finance, Reconciliations, to perform duties effectively Use Power BI to analyze data and make data-driven decisions Apply Accounting Principles and Fair Value to financial tasks Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley regulations Handle monthly closings and resolve any discrepancies Understand and manage commodity management and derivatives Assist in resolving issues and discrepancies in a timely manner. Requirements Proficiency in financial analysis and principles Strong understanding and application of accounting principles Experience in financial reporting and documentation Proficient in using Power BI for data visualization Ability to perform ad hoc financial functions Skilled in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley regulations Experience in commodity management and derivatives Familiarity with technical accounting and fair value concepts Ability to perform monthly closings and settlements Experience in trading and contract management Proficiency in reconciliation of account balances Ability to handle third party relations Proficiency in workstation support functions CPA certification is a plus Familiarity with the 'About Time' time management software Ability to resolve financial issues and discrepancies efficiently Demonstrated ability to work with a team and independently.
