Responsibilities Plastic Profile Extruder Operators
SUMMARY:
We are global company seeking Extrusion Operators for the manufacture of custom profile plastic extrusions. Experience in the extrusion industry is not a must, but is preferred. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and have the ability to perform routine equipment operations and adjustments. Knowledge of Co-Extrusion and Multi-Layer Extrusion is especially welcomed.
This position is primarily responsible for setting up and the operation of an extruder and downstream equipment by performing the following duties personally.
Reads prints, pick list, or job order for product specifications including color.
Be able to set up and operate Custom Profile Extruders and downstream equipment such as chop saw, takeoff, cutter, reeler, and vacuum pumps.
Checking for proper part dimensions, color, and length of part.
Select proper tooling and install on the extruder.
Monitor the Extruder parameters.
Make required quality checks on extruded products against specifications.
Complete daily productivity reports.
Extruder Operators must be willing to participate in Company productivity improvement and scrap reduction initiatives.
Communicate maintenance issues to your supervisor or maintenance staff.
Requirements for a Extruder Operator
Extruder Operator should have at least 2 years of Custom Profile extrusion experience in rigid and/or flexible PVC.
Recent experience doing setups, color changes and changeovers.
Solid work history and dependable. We are looking for people who show up on time, every day.
Ability to read measurement tools; tape measure, micrometers, and calipers and perform basic math calculations using fractions and decimals. Good eye hand coordination.
Not color blind.
Able to lift 50 pounds.
English as primary language.
Willingness to work 3 rotating shifts. Some overtime as necessary
Hourly rate is based according to experience.
