Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant based in Youngstown, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including payroll processing, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and other associated duties. Responsibilities: Meet all deadlines associated with payroll processing and ensure the accurate review of employee change information. Prepare and maintain management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Carry out general ledger entries for payroll and payroll taxes, including calculating garnishments as required. Maintain a working knowledge of payroll laws and regulations to ensure all tax withholdings are in accordance with regulations and employee's withholding documents. Accurately process all records pertaining to garnishments, support obligations, employee purchases, 401(k) deferrals, dental insurance premiums, supplemental and dependent life premiums, mileage reimbursements, and expense reimbursements. Review and deposit money received from customers and other sources of payments in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records for all payments received, verifying that the payments have been posted to the correct customer's account and/or General Ledger account. Assist in General Ledger Accounting, including account maintenance and reconciliation. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist in quarterly sub closings. Assist in the calculation and submission of Sales and Use tax returns.Skills: Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related field Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management Experience with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger management Capable of preparing and reviewing Journal Entries Familiar with Month End Close procedures and processes Proficiency in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
