Job Title: Software EngineerJob DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for services including application development, documentation, training, troubleshooting, and maintenance for various software systems. These systems include AVEVA/Wonderware’s Archestra Control System, Microsoft Visual Studio C# applications, AVEVA’s Operations, Performance and Quality MES modules, AVEVA Work Tasks Business Process Management (BPM) software, and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) based on AVEVA MES modules. Additionally, responsibilities include working with AVEVA’s BI Gateway, Rockwell PLCs, Microsoft Power BI, data feeds to external partners using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, and Microsoft Reporting Services. The role also involves gathering and understanding business requirements for data visualization and analysis, collaborating with engineers and analysts to acquire and transform data, creating complex DAX calculations, ensuring data security and compliance, and up to 25% travel to other internal sites.Responsibilities
Develop, document, train, troubleshoot, and maintain AVEVA/Wonderware’s Archestra Control System.
Modify and/or create Microsoft Visual Studio C# applications.
Work with AVEVA’s Operations, Performance, and Quality MES modules.
Utilize AVEVA Work Tasks Business Process Management (BPM) software.
Maintain Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) based on AVEVA MES modules.
Manage AVEVA’s BI Gateway for data consolidation and accessibility.
Support Rockwell PLCs for MES data and functionality.
Develop and maintain Microsoft Power BI Report Server and Power BI Power Platform.
Migrate SSRS and Tableau reports to Power BI.
Create data feeds to external partners using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services.
Utilize Microsoft Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Reporting Services.
Gather and understand business requirements for data visualization and analysis.
Collaborate with engineers and analysts to clean and transform data.
Create complex DAX calculations and measures for data analysis.
Ensure data security and compliance with best practices.
Travel up to 25% to other internal sites.
Essential Skills
7+ years of experience in Controls, Automation, or MES Engineering.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Software, or a related field.
Experience with SQL server databases.
Experience with MES or SCADA systems.
Proficiency in building reports with Power BI or similar software.
Ability to read ladder logic.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the year.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with AVEVA/Wonderware software.
Proficiency with Power BI.
Experience with liquid processes.
Work EnvironmentThis position offers a hybrid schedule, requiring 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely. Onsite presence is mandatory on Mondays and Thursdays, with flexibility to work from home on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays unless project needs dictate otherwise. During onboarding and training, the candidate will need to be onsite 5 days a week for shadowing purposes. The employer covers 100% of benefits. Relocation assistance includes a lump sum amount upon completion, reimbursement for real estate commission up to 6% of the sale price, and full cost reimbursement for professional pack and move services.
