Through education and partnership with each patient and their caregivers, we teach our patients how to effectively manage their therapy and provide ongoing oversight, coordination and support throughout their therapyResponsibilitiesAmeriMed Infusion Pharmacy Now Hiring Pharmacy Manager to join a PharmacyTeam of Excellence at our West Chester, Ohio branch location!As a Manager, Pharmacy is responsible for coordinating and directing all pharmaceutical care services including procurement, compounding, dispensing of medications and all clinical activities of the AmeriMed, Inc. facility. Has responsibility for performance, development and coaching of staff (i.e. hiring, firing, performance management, salary management, etc.). Ensures that new members of team receive training.

Participates in defining and maintaining AmeriMed’s scope of service and organization-wide planning and implementation of new programs/services. Participates in decisions regarding pharmaceutical care services and ethical issues and decisions regarding pharmaceutical care services and ethical issues.

Participates in the recruitment of pharmacist, technicians and other support staff.

Provides orientation and training for each employee to obtain knowledge, skills and current competence as appropriate to the pharmaceutical services provided. Performs proficiency evaluations on personnel to ensure the knowledge and skills necessary to complete the assigned job. Provides ongoing training to personnel in order to increase qualifications and to update current competencies/proficiencies and/or scope of service changes.

Participates in the development, revision, maintenance and review of policies and procedures.

Manages, supervises and evaluates the filling, receiving, compounding and dispensing activities involved in providing a quality finished product to the patient.

Responsible for controlling cost and inventory.

Interacts with infusion staff, physicians, nursing agencies and insurance companies as a home care resource. Participates in in-service function for pharmaceutical issues. Participates in the marketing and promotion of the infusion program.

Supervises the procurement of all equipment and supplies related to the practice of pharmacy and participates in contract negotiations for any agreement with another organization for pharmacy services.

Performs the duties of the Staff Pharmacist as needed.

Participates in on call.

Qualifications

Registered Pharmacist in the state serviced.

Must be willing to work at a facility that is 24/7 On Call.

One year management experience.

Experience working in a multi-discipline environment. Experience with cost and inventory management.

Previous sales experience preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
