Applications will be accepted up to 90 days after the posting date, or until the position is filled (whichever is first).Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Principal Business Analyst to play a key role on our Digital Team in enabling Vail Resorts to support our best-in-class data driven digital experience. This role will be responsible for leading solution assessments, providing domain subject expertise, and mentoring business analysts. In addition, this position will support the Marketing Digital Experience organization in a highly collaborative environment working closely with Product Owners, Program Managers, Architects, and Quality Assurance Leads.We are looking for an outstanding individual who excels in several key areas: Scope definition, Requirements gathering and validation, building and managing partner relationships, digital systems and tools, and software development life cycle. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Digital Business Analysis.Job Specifications:

The budgeted range starts at $103,596 - $140,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

Drive Business Requirements: Lead the scope definition, requirements gathering, refinement, and documentation of business requirements to guide design and development. Clearly define new system capabilities and enhancements.

Provide Business and System Guidance: Offer expert guidance on business processes and the systems that support them, ensuring cohesive and efficient operations.

Primary Liaison Between Teams: Serve as the primary liaison between Marketing Digital Experience team and Digital development team to ensure alignment and seamless collaboration.

Solve Data-Driven Problems: Lead problem-solving efforts in a data-driven environment, leveraging analytics and stakeholder insights to address challenges effectively.

Build Strategic Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to align priorities and foster collaboration with internal technology teams.

Collaborate with Business: Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to define, document, and refine business requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Develop Business Capability Maps: Create and maintain business capability maps and value streams to streamline IT enablement and align business and technology strategies at a foundational level.

Manage Ambiguity and Complexity: Guide teams in navigating ambiguity by breaking down complex problems into actionable, functional requirements.

Oversee Business Analyst Activities: Provide oversight, mentorship, and architecture-level support to other business analysts, ensuring consistency and quality in deliverables.

Ensure Alignment with Standards: Maintain compliance with regulatory, legal, and organizational standards, particularly in areas such as data privacy and security.

Facilitate Stakeholder Workshops: Lead assessment workshops to gather input, validate requirements, and build consensus among stakeholders.

Job Qualifications:Required:

5+ years working in agile custom software delivery in a business analyst capacity with at least 3+ years as a Senior BA

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or a closely related field

Demonstrated business analysis experience with direct business interaction

Stong requirements gathering and documentation skills

Effective communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable speaking with and translating between technical and non-technical team members at all levels of the organization

Experience working with a cross-functional team in the areas of technology, marketing, digital experience, and analytics

Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills

Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with solve a wide range of problems of diverse scope and complexity

Experience creating process flows and writing detailed requirements

A history of leading and supporting successful projects

Experience in an Agile based delivery environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient with Jira and Confluence

Experience with Sitecore and ContentStack (CMS system)

Experience working on an e-commerce platform and native mobile applications

Experience with Adobe Experience Tools- Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics

Working knowledge of A/B and multivariate testing practices and principles

Experience with Mulesoft

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $103,596 - $140,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.Job Benefits
