Date Posted:2024-03-13Country:United States of AmericaLocation:HOH12: Wheels & Brakes - Troy 101 Waco Street, Troy, OH, 45373 USAPosition Role Type:RemoteCollins Aerospace is seeking an individual contributor to be a Digital Thread Lead for Landing Systems (LS) to collaborate with the LS Digital manager to establish the Digital Thread team in the LS Digital organization. You will be accountable to cultivate a culture of ownership to build a team of pathfinders capable of driving results and responsible for supporting development, implementation, and adoption of digital tools across LS. You will also support and execute strategic plans for the Landing Systems Digital Thread and must effectively lead the team that builds and maintains it. Position will be working in a remote capacityPrimary Responsibilities

Leads the Landing Systems Digital Thread team

Responsible for building a Digital Thread to fully leverage W&B, LG, and customer data to add value through improved design, reduced costs, and faster issue resolution

Deploys DevSecOps processes and oversees QA checks to merge and promote from development to production environments

Partners with the LS Digital Solutions team to support pilots, projects, and other use cases

Establishes an efficient architecture to monitor and improve data quality, ensure compliance with Global Trade requirements, and minimize costs associated with data storage and analysis

Partners with the other Landing Systems teams to build or leverage lifecycle data applications, the digital thread, digital design processes, and other analytical methods

Cultivates an extended team embedded across the business to aid in leveraging data science in structures, thermal, dynamics, carbon and NPI engineering as well as other disciplines

Establishes a team with skills needed to support the Digital Thread and other initiatives including data architecture, data science, and semantic ontology

Actively attracts key talent, develops employees, prepares leadership successors, creates a learning environment, and promotes diversity and inclusion

Partners with Collins Global Engineering Centers, Best Cost Engineering organizations, CAS, ART, and DT as needed to leverage resources and knowledge in support of all aspects of the business

Leverage CORE processes and tools to identify opportunities for CI where possible

Communicate and make technical presentations to senior leadership

Travel up to 10% domestically when circumstances permit

Perform other duties

Qualifications/Experience Required

Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and typically a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

Experience with Data Architecture

Experience with Data Management/Intelligence platforms, examples: databricks, AWS etc.

Qualifications/Experiences Preferred

Experience leading a group of technical professional

Experience in digital product life cycle initiatives

Experience in Data Science or Statistics or Engineering

Python experience

Experience with graph databases, sematic layers, and data ontologies

AWS or Azure or Spark Experience

Experience with Git or similar software revision control best practices

Understanding of software development/engineering lifecycle from concept to delivery

Experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
