Read, understand, and follow work instructions, engineering blueprints, and specifications of welding and fabrication projects.

Weld, repair, modify, and construct metal and steel components.

Operate welding equipment and troubleshoot as needed.

Assess equipment, structures, and materials for appropriate welding positions and accuracy.

Visually inspect weld quality, and use other quality inspection equipment, to confirm compliance to project specifications.

Accurately measure and mark workpieces using combination squares, tape measures, and other measuring instruments.

Safely operate cutting tools such as band saws, plasma cutters, and shears.

Safely operate electric and pneumatic hand tools such as angle grinders, air wands, and belt sanders.

Maintain welding fixtures and tooling in a suitable working order.

Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and work area.

Follow all safety protocols, including wearing safety glasses, welding hoods, appropriate gloves, flame resistant (FR) clothing, protective masks, and safety toed footwear.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Necessary Experience:

At least 3 years GMAW welding experience; can include school/certificate program classes.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a welder/fabricator, or similar role.

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication/weld processes.

Strong math skills for determining measurements and calculations.

Proven GMAW welding experience, and ability to weld in all positions. FCAW and GTAW experience is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to constructively communicate with fellow team members.

Demonstrated ability to take and follow direction.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Ability to fabricate and construct metal and steel components.

Willingness to work in a manufacturing/shop setting.

Job Type: Full-time 40+ hrs/week

Pay: UP to $26/hr depending on experience
