Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in the non-profit sector, based in Toledo, Ohio. The position involves handling various accounting functions such as processing payroll, performing account reconciliations, and working with accounting software systems. Responsibilities: Perform all payroll functions for a significant number of employees Review and reconcile General Ledger Accounts Utilize accounting software systems, including ADP - Financial Services, Concur, Great Plains (GPAC), and Microsoft Excel Execute accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks Handle billing functions and check processing Use advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data management and analysis Understand and apply basic accounting principles including debits and credits Self-start and take initiative in performing tasks Requirements Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is mandatory. Prior experience with ADP - Financial Services is preferred. Familiarity with Concur and Great Plains (GPAC) software is advantageous. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required. Knowledge of various Accounting Functions is essential. Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is crucial. Ability to manage Billing Functions efficiently.
