Description:2nd Shift Slitter Operator – 2:00pm-10:30pmStarting at $20 per hour Candidate will set up the machine and they will be slitting the steel Candidate load and unload material into the machine to be slit Candidate will operate overhead crane to lift products that weigh up to 4000 lbs Will be reading blueprints and drawings to set up the machine Candidate will install and lock specified punches, dies and cutting blades using gauges and templates Candidate will move levers to stop, start and regulate the speed of the machine to align material and rotary blades Will be utilizing micrometers, calipers and gauges Candidate will be operating and tending to the machine that will cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, and bend the sheet metal and aluminum material Candidate will be threading end of metal coils from reels through the slitter Candidate will control the cutting speeds, feed rates and table angles There are 3 people on each slitter and all 3 peopleneed to be able to work together in order to ensure safety and that the product is running through the machine correctly Will be responsible for troubleshooting any issues when something goes wrong Will be using Shimless Tooling System which is computerizedSkills:slitter operator, slitter, headsetter, cutting speed, shimless tooling, cutting steel, machine operatorTop Skills Details:slitter operator, slitter, headsetter, cutting speed, shimless tooling, cutting steelAdditional Skills & Qualifications:
Must have at least 1 year of experience in manufacturing
experience working with steel or aluminum is preferred
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must have experience setting up machine or machine operating
Must have HS Diploma/ GED
