Provides leadership to our Streetsboro and Oberlin Ohio locations, management teams and employee groups by ensuring human resource objectives are aligned with business strategic goals through effective employee relations, compensation, staffing, training, organizational development, safety, and change management strategies. This role fosters employee involvement at all levels with the use of excellent communication, organization, facilitation, and creative problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:Along with respective Management Teams, develop and facilitate strategic short and long-term goals for assigned locations as they relate to the employment function (i.e. recruiting, screening, coordination of staffing plans, promotions, training, succession planning, and positive counseling) and profitability.Help facilitate positive employee relations, plant-wide effective communications, and internal management consultationEnsures legal compliance and implementation of the Company’s human resources strategy.Ensures management practices are consistent with all federal, state, and local employment laws, rules, and regulations.Responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local agenciesAnalyzes compensation trends in the local market, researches and proposes appropriate pay adjustment recommendations to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talentCreates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employeesEffectively support and foster the company’s Open Door PolicyResponsible for administering policies, procedures, regulations, and contractsEffectively and proactively manage the requirements and functions related to theAffirmative Action Plan for assigned locationsEffectively manage local workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and training programs in accordance with company and legal guidelinesPerform all other related duties as assigned
