Cost Accountant

Description We are in search of a Cost Accountant to join our team based in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. This role is pivotal in assisting the Plant Controlling team in the daily operations of the department, providing accurate and timely reporting and analysis of financial and operational information. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting functions, cost accounting, cost analysis, manufacturing, global manufacturing, account analysis, and SAP.Responsibilities: Assist in the monthly closing, forecasting, and annual budgeting process Maintain the standard cost system, including analysis of bills of material and routings for new products Analyze material price, usage, and scrap in collaboration with the plant controller Manage direct personnel costs in the P& L and associated accounts in the balance sheet Handle financial impacts for customer claims for the plant Support the WCM Cost Deployment Pillar Audit physical inventories and cycle counts Undertake other projects assigned by the Controller.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Functions Expertise in Cost Accounting Experience in Cost Analysis Knowledge of Manufacturing processes Familiarity with Global Manufacturing Proven ability in Account Analysis Proficiency in using SAP Minimum of 3 years of experience in a plant accountant or manufacturing environmentRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
