Location: Solon, OH Description: Our client is currently seeking a Engineer for a 12 month + contract.
Description/Comment: Designs, validates and brings new products to market. Specifies precise new product functional requirements; designs, tests and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability and safety. Designs, develops, executes and evaluates fitness-for-use testing, product specifications and process validation plans; creates and reviews material part specifications and bills of materials. Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability. Utilizes CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings. This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. Roles typically require a university degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience. Job requires an understanding and application of procedures and concepts of own discipline. The job requires the ability to make judgements based on practice and previous experience. This job typically requires a degree or equivalent and no experience.Additional Job Details: Advanced Operations is leading the creation of a global team dedicated to achieving excellence in Product Transfer (PT) This role will support our Product Transfer team being a Key Enabler of transformation delivering on "cost out" opportunities to become a global competitive advantage. Key Responsibilities: • Provide engineering support for Product transfers and / or new product and process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with the new product development procedures. • Ensure quality of process and product as defined in the appropriate operation and material specifications. • Will assist in the selection of components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability and regulatory requirements. • Support capital acquisition activities. • Will analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental test and result analysis. Participate in process review meetings. • Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP and PPAP generation associated with product transfers and launches. • Complete capability studies for in process inspection and generate subsequent Inspection documentation. • Conduct MSA studies for new products and new processes. • Provide training for manufacturing team members. • Ensure adherence to GMP and safety procedures. • All other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills:• Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. • The individual should enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic and results orientated team environment.• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively work cross-functionally and externally as required. • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product and process design. • Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have the ability to understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing. • Experience in an FDA regulated or regulated industry beneficial. • High level of PC Skills required. • Excellent attention to detail. • Supports the execution of assigned project elements with an emphasis on the manufacturing process, technology and procedures required for the manufacture of new products.
