Ohio Truck Sales is looking to add an experienced HR Generalist to complete their Human Resources Team. OTS provides owner operators across America the means to earn a living with a safe, affordable truck they love to drive!

Job Summary

The HR Generalist will have a broad knowledge of human resources functions and will have responsibility for the day-to-day HR administrative functions and full ownership of the HRIS/payroll system. benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, leave management, and other HR-related tasks as noted below.

Responsibilities:

-Administer and maintain total rewards programs including benefits and 401(k), as well as leaves of absence under FMLA and STD. Assist with annual benefits negotiation and administer open enrollment process. Audit any pay benefit invoices. Enrollment and management of participants.

-Process and administer bi-weekly payroll and all associated reports and tasks.

-Process legal documents, i.e., garnishments, child support, unemployment, etc.

-Administer all workers' compensation claims and paperwork and serve as the liaison with the TPA and OBWC.

-Serve as main employee relations contact for employee questions and concerns.

-Assist in development and implementation of HR policies.

-Assist with performance management programs.

-Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form legally.

-Organize training, employee events/celebrations and meetings.

-Office management responsibilities, including mail, ordering office supplies, greeting visitors, etc.

-Assisting the HR Director and Recruiter as needed.

Requirements:

-Proven experience as an HR Generalist.

-Associates degree in a related field or a high school diploma and equivalent experience. PHR preferred.

-Excellent communication and people skills.

-Previous payroll processing experience.

-Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and aptitude in problem-solving.

-Good knowledge of employment/labor laws.

-Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and HRIS systems (PayChex will be a plus)

-This is not a remote position.
