POSITION POSTINGTitle: Cardiopulmonary ManagerDepartment: CardiopulmonaryStatus: Full Time May Require call rotation, holidays, and weekends.Hours: Primarily Day Shift. Hours may be adjusted in response to workload demands. Low census may be utilized in accordance with hospital policy.Job summary:Under the supervision of the Medical Director and the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiopulmonary. The Cardiopulmonary Department Manager, oversees and supervises department operations and management of this service, and the developing and implementing of policies and procedures to maintain standards of care in cardiopulmonary department scope of services.Qualifications/Position Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapist program.

Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy preferred, Associate of Science Degree, minimum

One year of management/supervisory experience, preferred.

Five years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience in a hospital setting, preferred.

BLS Certification required; ACLS Certification preferred.

Ability to establish effective working relationships and effective communication with peers, patients, families, physicians, and all other support hospital personnel

Ability to promote and adapt to change in order to keep current with respiratory care duties.

Appreciation of and desire to be part of a health care team dedicated to providing the community and patients optimal care and superior service.

Evidence of a sense of responsibility, initiative, honesty, and a positive attitude.

Evidence of good mental and physical health, professional conduct, and good hygiene.

Ability to read and write the English language.

Certifications/Licensures Required:

Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care.

Current License - Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan.
