Controls Engineer

Activities and duties may vary depending on site-specific needs and daily work assignments. Essential functions may include, but are not limited to: Supporting the maintenance team with daily troubleshooting and repair of electrical, control, and communication systems in a 24x7 production environment. Systems include:PLC systems including AB PLC5s, SLC500s, and Logix families (Micro, Compact, Control)AB PanelView HMI and Wonderware SCADA systems Various communication protocols including fiber optic and ethernet systems480V electrical systems, including coordinated AC and DC drive systems (Parker SSD, Siemens S/G120)120VAC and 24VDC control systems with industrial field devicesLeading and contributing to continuous improvement projects to help the plant achieve its safety, quality, service, and cost goals. Support the capital improvement plan by planning, completing, and/or approving project deliverables. The position will be tasked with working with and training other members of the maintenance team, driving root cause analysis, and improving technical documentation. NOTE: The physical requirements of this role may vary by location.  A detailed listing of the physical requirements may be obtained from the local Human Resource contact or the site Occupational Health Nurse.
