HR Manager - Ventrac

Who Are We?      Ventrac , located in Orville, Ohio, is a division of The Toro Company. Ventrac is a premier innovator of equipment for turf and landscape grounds management, sidewalk snow removal, and specialty grounds care maintenance. Built for performance with quality to last, Ventrac equipment is ideal for golf course turf management, sports fields, collegiate campuses, residential and commercial property maintenance, and public green spaces. The HR Manager will provide HR consulting and advice to individuals within The Toro Company’s assigned business/functional group. This role partners with leaders on talent initiatives including performance reviews, succession and talent planning, employee development, conflict management and change management. HRM works with other HR partners to develop people-related strategies in alignment with enterprise strategic priorities with a focus on attracting, developing and retaining a high-performing and diverse team.What Will You Do?   In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for :   ​ ​ ​ ​

Communicate and lead people processes for assigned teams in partnership with the leader(s).

Provide advisory and consultative services to assigned business/functional leaders on HR-related issues.

Oversee and/or facilitate employee relations investigations, including interviews, documentation and follow up, leading to appropriate outcomes.

Leverage business acumen to contribute to strategic and annual planning processes for the business/function. Identify talent implications of strategy and planning process and develop aligned people and talent strategies to enable achievement of company ambitions​.

Lead talent initiatives within the business/function around performance management, talent assessment, succession planning, recognition and rewards, leveraging processes and tools developed by centers of excellence (COE) partners​.

Leverage people data within global HCM (Workday) to provide actionable insights which will help to inform talent strategies and measure progress against goals.

Demonstrate and foster a high-engagement culture through an intentional focus on employee listening, positive employee relations, talent development and retention.

Serve as a role model and champion a culture of inclusion; support efforts and initiatives within assigned business/functional area and as part of the broader HR team to advance The Toro Company’s progress in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Assist with recruitment processes to identify talent that possesses key capabilities and leadership attributes needed for success. Utilize internal and external platforms to fill open positions as well as build the talent pipeline for the future.

Support overall onboarding and onsite employee orientation to ensure a connected and engaging experience for new employees.

What Do You Need?  

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:   ​

Bachelor’s degree required

Experience required per level considered:

Associate HRM:1-3 years of HR experience required.

HRM I: 3-5 years of HR experience required.

HRM II: 5-8+ years of HR experience required.

Ability to be a change agent and influence teams to shift quickly as business needs evolve/change

Demonstrated ability to build relationships, coach and influence while gaining buy-in and driving results

Knowledge of relevant human resources-related laws and regulations and the ability to conduct or assist with investigations, maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information

Exceptional communication/ interpersonal skills, including strong presentation and facilitation skills

Energetic, driven and enthusiastic, and able to cultivate a fast-paced, change-oriented workplace

HRIS experience preferred; Workday system is a plus
