This position will provide clinical support in EEG, EKG, Cardiac Stress Lab, Echo, and Cardiac Monitoring.
Prepares patients for and assists neurologists with all technical aspects of EEG testing
Prepares patients for EEG tests; obtains patients' histories and any contraindications, explains EEG procedure to patients, applies electrodes, performs EEGs and communicates with neurology department on all aspects of testing, references and medication; coordinates and prepares EEGs for interpretation withthe neurologist
Maintains accurate departmental records and files for EEG; assists in scheduling, pre-certification, corporate compliance, charge capture, and denial management of procedures; participates and assists in the departmental Performance Improvement Plan; maintains safety and infection control measures; maintains clinical competencies and credentialing; serves as a preceptor to new employees as needed
Minimum Requirements:
Current EEG certification by Continuing Medical Education or the ASET Neurodiagnostic Society
Current CPR certification
