Deal, let’s go!The role.Support the Innomotics Export Control & Customs Head with Export Control and Customs compliance within the AM region (North and South America).Assist with the assurance of full compliance for Import and Export operational activity according to the Customs regulations of US government and its agencies in addition to Innomotics internal requirements. Assist in the communication, awareness and understanding of the required import/export regulatory requirements and related Siemens policies. Champion communication and active involvement within the operating departments for the company. Engage in active collaboration on ECC topics. Help further a compliance savvy organization.An individual capable of assuring clear communications on import/ export regulatory and internal compliance topics, providing added specific governance within the guidelines set by Innomotics and to provide advice, training and technical assistance to the business operation. The position reports to the Export Control & Customs Manager responsible for Innomotics AM Hub.Primary Responsibilities :

Implement operational / transactions to ensure compliant import/export shipment activity.

Assignment of HTS and ECCN classification to Innomotics products.

Ensure Free Trade Agreement declaration and qualification meets the regulatory requirements.

Ensure Partnering Government Agency reporting as needed for Innomotics products.

Complete Electronic Export Declarations as needed.

Driver of change for import / export regulatory compliance operations within the U.S.

Individual capable of understanding sophisticated global transactions and applying the accurate mentorship to ensure regulatory compliance.

Individual who has experience assessing risk and implementing process improvements for risk mitigation.

Conduct regulatory research.

Partner with various levels of management to train, collaborate or inspire change.

Coordination and communications of import/export regulatory compliance activities within the business operation.

Support in the analysis and development on strategy for optimization of duty minimizing programs.

Actively contribute to the international trade competitiveness of Innomotics in the US.

Support in the development and implementation of import/export regulatory compliance strategy and tactical plans including priorities for projects and programs.

Align all operating activities and processes to Innomotics ECC goals and ECC processes.

Collaborate with other ECC colleagues to support optimized processes for intercompany related global transactions.

Technical experience in the classification of Export Controlled product and technology for software, commodities, and technology subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) preferred and Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the U.S. (19 CFR).

Experience in the integration of detailed solutions to support Trade Compliance preferred.

Presentation skills required.

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant business area

Advanced degree in business or law is desired.

Licensed Customs House Broker would be a plus.

Minimum of 5-8 years of dynamic experience in multi-national business engaged in international trade.

Progression in size and complexity of assignments with import/export and Customs compliance related responsibilities included.

Experience with Global Trade Management tools (e.g. OneSource Global Trade)

Wide variety of functional and business experiences with international trade preferred.

The successful candidate must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

International trade compliance

Export Administration Regulations (Title 15, Code of Federal Regulations)

Customs regulations (Title 19, Code of Federal Regulations)

Product classification (HTS and ECCN)

Incoterms, Temporary Importation Under Bond administration and duty drawback.

Experience with SAP

Knowledge of Customs regulations in countries other than the USA (e.g. Canada).

Strong research and writing abilities.

Public speaking. Change management. Foreign Trade Zone administration.

The pay range for this position is 71,300 - $122,300.
