Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking an interim Senior Cost Accountant. In this contract position, you will be the costing subject matter expert on all costing inquiries and analysis.How you will make an impact
Answer to costing queries and prepare explanations and analysis
Investigate costs that seem contrary to experience after analyzing cost records and calculation of unit cost for products or services related to a specific job or project
Develop and examine costing audits and cost reports
Consistently adhere to corporate guidelines and internal and external requirements when completing assigned processes, procedures and workflows
Put together and implement cost accounting procedures and methods
Analyze standard versus actual costs to identify variances Requirements - Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in a costing capacity in a manufacturing setting
Strong MS Excel skills required, including data analysis and modeling capabilities
Strong communication (written and verbal) skills to interact clearly and effectively in a fast-changing environment
Proficient in ERP systems
Bachelor or Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
