Responsibilities:

Operates controls of each train; performs preventative maintenance on equipment to include greasing and oiling. Cleans and polishes trains daily as well as removes excess grease. Notifies supervisor of daily performance, malfunctions, or safety concerns.

Initiates prescribed emergency procedures; assists with safety checks.

Uses tools including cleaning supplies and equipment, truck, other park vehicles, etc. to perform tasks; assists ride mechanic as assigned. Uses fall restraint equipment to perform daily duties.

At the direction of full time maintenance: grease and oil (cross slide shoes, eccentric straps and pins, leaf spring linkage, main bearing boxes and wedges, pony truck bearings, Coach Journal boxes, various other pivot points).

At the direction of full time maintenance: monitor gauges and readings and report abnormalities to full time mechanics (propane burner pressure, boiler pressure, airline and reservoir pressure, water level in the boiler, water temperature of water pump line.)

At the direction of full time maintenance: Fill propane tanks to proper levels.

At the direction of full time maintenance: Assist with track repair and planned track maintenance.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must possess a valid state/provincial driver's license.

Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
