Job Description: This position is primarily responsible for working with customers to provide support and consultation for the company s, Quanum Enterprise Content Solutions, a mission-critical, client/server hospital application involving Windows and Web user interfaces, document management, workflow, Oracle, UNIX servers, and hierarchical storage management. Support includes embedded third-party software and hardware. Duties and Responsibilities:- Providing timely and accurate support for customers in order to resolve client software/hardware issues.
- Requires sophisticated troubleshooting techniques to isolate and reproduce customer problem scenarios.
- Designing and implementing configuration or programming changes necessary to resolve a problem scenario, when applicable.
- Creating and maintaining support documentation, including FAQ s, technical notes, and documenting all issues/resolutions in the Company s support tracking system.
- Providing Integration Support for Quanum ECS developed interfaces for hospital entities.
- Providing system-level administration, both proactively and post-deployment.

- Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Science in Computer Science or related or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of system administration experience, preferably in IBM-AIX, or Linux (Red Hat) environment.
- 5+ years of experience with Windows server environments and virtualized server environments.
- Ability to write and debug shell scripts
- Carrying an on-call phone in a group rotation will be required
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain high level of confidentiality.
- Superior listening and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Self-directed, with considerable initiative.
- Ability to read and quickly interpret technical documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-workers, departments, customers and vendors.
- Excellent customer service skills. Must possess skills to be able to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Thorough understanding of how Quanum ECS is used by our customers.
- Must understand configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment.
- Experience with installation & support of an enterprise, client/server application.
- Some experience with PC hardware/OS and peripherals.
- This role requires occasional travel of up to 25%.
- Job could require work outside of business hours and weekends related to off hours support and upgrade activities.
