Description We are seeking a Network Engineer in the automotive industry, based in Marysville, Ohio. This role is a contract position that offers the opportunity to collaborate with different teams to understand the current Global Design Bill of Materials system and related servers. The position also requires the ability to create and maintain documentation and installation procedures, while coordinating with various departments for approval of new systems and infrastructure.Responsibilities: Collaborate with different teams to understand current Global Design Bill of Materials system and related servers Document the current system and create a system diagram showing connections/data exchange between several systems modules/servers Provide solutions for a new environment and assist in creating and installing a new system Configure server environment, test, and ensure all connections are working properly Coordinate with various departments for approval of the new system and infrastructure Maintain documentation and installation procedures Proactively ensure the highest level of system and infrastructure availability Understand integration between BOM CATIA and 3D Experience Create a roadmap for the current and future system Build and support system integration testing and User Acceptance Testing. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or a related field Proven experience as a Network Engineer in the automotive industry Strong proficiency with Servers, Operating System, and Microsoft Windows Server In-depth knowledge of network design and implementation Familiarity with authorization and authentication procedures Experience in handling materials and suppliers within the automotive sector Proficiency in module integration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration Ability to create and maintain network documentation and diagrams Understanding of CATIA and data exchange processes Knowledge of R Code is a plus Willingness to travel as required for the role Flexibility to work overtime when necessary Strong commitment to network security and engineering best practices Ability to handle server administration and server environments effectively.
