Seeking chemist to support an environmental laboratory testing on water samples! This is a long-term opportunity with upward mobilitySUMMARYThe bulk of testing is ran on drinking water samples with a smaller percentage of the tasting being ran on waste water samples A list of examples you will be testing for include Metals, Volatile organic compounds, Semi-Volatile compounds, cations, and ions. RESPONSBILITIESo Diluting samples and pipetting o Perform advanced applications/analyses: Utilization of GCMS, ICPMS, IC/HPLC o Trouble shoot instruments and perform maintenance on them o Train analyst o Review reports along with batch QC. o Assist/Manage special projects. o Provide telephone support with customers regarding projects. o Give input and/or conduct performance evaluations. SKILLS& QUALIFICATIONSo Bachelor’s Degree (Chemistry). o 4+ years of experience o Bench experience to include environmental applications (advanced: ICPMS, GCMS, IC/HPLC.) o Bench experience to include wet chemistry. Not necessary, but would be nice to have: o Supervisory experience. o Participate at a high level in laboratory audits. o Have gone through Ohio EPA audit. o Have gone through NELAC audit. o Master’s degree (Chemistry).
