Ford Mobile Service Technician / Mechanic

Sharpnack Ford has a unique opportunity for the right candidate to be our Ford Mobile Service Technician. This person will be responsible for service calls to customer homes and businesses to perform recalls, battery replacements, filter and wiper replacements, software updates and more. You will be provided with a fully equipped Mobile service vehicle, cell phone, wireless printer, and windows tablet to complete the dispatched repair order. Automotive certifications are a plus, and you will be eligible to work your way toward Ford certification. If you’re currently working toward your certification through school or employer but aren’t quite there yet we want to talk with you! This is a part-time position to begin with that will turn into a full-time opportunity as you will help us grow the business. No Weekends!
Responsibilities - Service Tech:
Perform quality repair and maintenance work that meets dealership and manufacturer standards
Clearly write and communicate needed repairs/maintenance and the parts and time needed to repair
Repair broken or worn mechanical and technology components
Maintain repair and service records
Perform software updates from Ford
Install equipment, components, and systems
Test vehicles both before and after repair
Repair electrical wiring, circuits, and fixtures
Generate invoices and paperwork for our customers.
Other duties may be assigned according to expertise and certifications
Qualifications/Requirements - Service Tech:
At least 2 years’ Auto repair experience preferred!
Ford / ASE certification a Plus! We will certify!
Ability to be analytical and multi-task
Good work ethic
The ability to operate a computer to look up customer info, and perform software updates from Ford
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Neat appearance and good attitude
