You belong here.Job DescriptionProgram ManagementAchieves safe, quality patient care outcomes, develops behavioral health programs, sustains and supervises delivery of program components, revises programs based on ongoing review of outcomes including patient recidivism, recovery rates, patient satisfaction, patient complaints, customer satisfactions, community needs assessments, etc. Works within the treatment philosophy of organization. Support continuity of patient care, communicates and collaborates closely with community providers and payer case managers. Understands and achieves safety goals. Assumes 24/7 responsibility for delivery of clinical services, including clinical inpatient, PHP, IOP, and PASR Services. Responsible for assisting direct reports in decision making in conjunction with the leadership team, providers, stakeholders, and others as appropriate. Other duties as assignedQualityMaintains a continuous quality improvement focus, develops and sustains dynamic performance indicators, recommends components of annually revised quality improvement plan, analyzes outcomes, tracks and trends data, develops and implements process improvement action plans, educates and involves all staff in CQI and PI activities.Human ResourcesRecruits, interviews, hires, clinically supervises, evaluates clinical staff, assures staff competence, monitors staff performance through direct observation, indirect observation, review of medical records, counsels, develops, coaches staff, performs formal counseling and guidance as indicated, communicates clear expectations for staff within the hospital's and department's policies and procedures, maintains adequate numbers of competent staff to meet care delivery needs, maintains flexible staffing levels, develops, reviews, and updates department clinical policies and procedures as needed and annually, provides staff education indicated by individual performance needs, as well as needs identified based on results of outcome indicators, works closely with the director regarding staffing patterns and staffing coordination.BudgetMeets financial benchmarks, works within budgetary guidelines, considers costs and remains cost effective in performing duties, recommending staffing levels, hiring staff, and supervising staff, develops referral sources, assists with maintaining and increasing patient volumes, works closely with the director and the nursing manager in meeting financial benchmarks and in all activities.Communication/Patient SatisfactionAchieves patient and customer satisfactions, works within benchmarks for THR's patient satisfaction, communicates and collaborates with all customers including community providers and practitioners referring their patients to facility. Responsible for assisting direct reports in decision making in conjunction with the leadership team, providers, stakeholders, and others as appropriateClinical SkillsDelivers direct patient care, including delivery of group therapy and pre-admission assessments, performs crisis intervention as indicated, manages patient complaints within policy to effectively resolve complaints, concerns and/or grievances.Works within an interdisciplinary treatment team, hospital-based medical model of care delivery, maintains flexibility, sustains and models positive "can do" attitudes, maintains personal and staff productivity, role models "going the extra mile" when necessary. Assumes responsibility for personal professional development and assists and supervisors staff in their professional development, maintains professional ethical standards and requires same of staff.CommunityRepresents the organization in the community, provides community education programs as delegated, maintains routine contact with referral sources, establishes and maintains relationships which enhance reputation and visibility of the organization.EducationMaster's Degree Behavioral Health field RequiredExperience5 Years Behavioral health experience in a clinical leadership role Required2-3 Years Substance use Treatment experience PreferredLicenses and CertificationsLPC - Licensed Professional Counselor Upon Hire RequiredOrLMSW - Licensed Master Social Worker Upon Hire RequiredOrLCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker Upon Hire RequiredOrLMFT - Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Upon Hire RequiredOrBCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly RequiredAndACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually with in 30 Days of hire RequiredSkillsMust be a sound leader who possesses excellent clinical and programmatic knowledge. Must have knowledge of managed care processes in behavioral health and criteria for all levels of behavioral healthcare.
