You will thrive as this reputable business's Accounting Clerk, if you can handle matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, assist with client needs, process payroll, administrative duties, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). They do want a candidate with a background in bookkeeping. This is a direct hire permanent position for a company in Lorain, Ohio. The hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Your responsibilities in this role
Classify documents with the proper expenditure codes and accounting codes
Answer calls from clients
-Process and take payments from clients
Handle general accounting tasks: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
Assist with payroll processing
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts

Solid understanding of Client administration
Prior general accounting experience
Experience with high volume data entry

Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
