Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Controller based in Highland Heights, Ohio. The role primarily centers around managing and supervising all aspects of accounting functions within the healthcare industry and candidates with previous experience in this field will be preferred. The work environment will involve a combination of remote and in-person work settings.Responsibilities: Oversee all accounting operations of the company to ensure accurate financial reporting. Actively engage in hands-on work, rather than merely directing the team. Utilize QuickBooks online Software for various accounting tasks. Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee all financial, project/program, and grants accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period. Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the program vice presidents; continuously collaborate with program vice presidents to assess the financial efficacy of program operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support program operations. Understand and manage Profit and Loss and Balance Sheets. Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines. Leverage strengths of the current finance team members, help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement training programs in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals. Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment. Requirements Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in the role of a Controller or similar position. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and financial management systems. Strong knowledge of financial data analysis and forecasting. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Exceptional communication and presentation abilities. Demonstrate a high level of integrity and uphold all company policies and regulations. Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used. Proven strategic planning experience at the management level. Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles. Familiarity with corporate law and company legislation. Sound knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software. Ability to predict the company's financial future by analyzing market trends. Proven ability to manage and oversee all aspects of the finance department. Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
